Help us turn Sheffield into an urban orchard!

Our aim at Sheffield Fruit Trees is to connect people with nature and food-growing by supporting people in and around Sheffield to plant and maintain fruit trees in public spaces.

The Community Fruit Tree Fund allows you to chip in to help us give local community groups, schools, and other initiatives the chance to plant fruit trees on their land.

HOW IT WORKS

Donate as little or as much as you can - there are suggested donation amounts or you can choose your own. All donations go directly to pay for fruit trees and planting materials.

We will then distribute trees (along with stakes and organic fertilisers) to community groups across Sheffield, South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.

We will also offer advice on planting, pruning and ongoing treecare to ensure the trees can grow successfully and provide fruit for many years to come.

If you are part of a group that might be able to receive some trees through the scheme then please get in touch via the contact button at the bottom of this page.

Groups we have worked with previously include; Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, Sheffield City Council, Sheffield Climate Alliance, Beighton Community Orchard, Abbeydale Street Trees, Emmaus Primary School, SheffFood, Friends of Heathlands Park and Holt House Infants School.
